Curtis Earns Big 12 Recognition

LUBBOCK, Texas - Football News today named Texas Tech defensive back Kevin Curtis (Lubbock, Texas) to its 2000 All-Big 12 Team.
Curtis, a 2000 Football News Preseason All-American, finished second on the team with 121 tackles. He also was second with 15 tackles for loss and tied for the team lead with two fumble recoveries. Curtis made two picks on the season, including one for a touchdown and collected two sacks. Against North Texas, Curtis made the game-saving play, tracking down a UNT receiver and forcing a fumble with under two minutes to play in the 13-7 Red Raider win.
