Women's Cross Country Takes 12th at Mountain Regionals

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's cross country squad finished 12th at the 2000 NCAA Mountain Regionals Saturday in Riverdale, Utah.
Senior Leigh Daniel led the way for Tech, finishing the 6K course at Riverdale Golf Course in a time of 21:52.6 for 14th place. Freshman Bridget Tidwell followed for the Red Raiders in 45th, running a time of 23:03.9.
Tracie Akerhielm finished 64th for Tech in a time of 23:24.6, while Jennifer Marable came in 93rd, crossing the finish line in 24:23.1. Melissa Ernst was Tech's fifth scorer in the meet, posting a time of 27:32.5 for 112th.
Megan Beaty also ran for the Red Raiders, finishing the race in 27:33.2.
