2016 OUTDOOR
Ran in seven meets in his final outdoor season at Texas Tech ... opened with a third-place time in the 800 meters at 1:52.29 ... posted a first-place finish a week later at the Texas Tech Open in the 1500 meters at 3:50.91 ... improved his time in the event at the Mt. SAC Relays to 3:49.22 ... represented Texas Tech in the 1500 meters at the Big 12 Championship, placing 16th in the prelims at 3:57.02.
2016 INDOOR
Competed in four meets during the indoor portion of the schedule ... opened at the Texas A&M Quadrangular by running a third-place distance medley relay time of 9:58.72 ... ran his first individual race at the New Mexico Team Invitational in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line at 1:56.86 ... put down a time of 4:14.06 in the mile at the Music City Challenge ... competed three times at the Big 12 Championship ... earned a trip to the final in the 1000 meters and placed eighth at 2:39.01 ... also helped the DMR team to an eighth-place time of 10:07.52.

Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team ... ran in seven meets for the Red Raiders during the outdoor season in the 800 and 1500-meter events ... opened the season with a second-place finish in the 800 meters at 1:53.10 at the UTSA Challenge ... would top that time a month later at the Kip Jarwin Open to a mark of 1:52.05 ... added two more top four times in the 1500 meters ... set a PR in the event at the Mt. SAC Relays at 3:46.63 for a fourth-place finish, putting him at No. 9 all-time in the Texas Tech records in the event ... finished 10th at the Big 12 Championships in the 1500-meter run at 3:54.72.
2015 INDOOR
Competed in five meets for Texas Tech in the indoor campaign ... rattled off a first-place mark in the 1000 meters at the Masked Rider Open to a time of 2:27.72 ... set a PR in the mile at the Tyson Invitational at 4:08.84 ... earned All-Big 12 performer honors after finishing seventh in the 1000-meter run at 2:28.29.
2014 CROSS COUNTRY
Suited up for the Red Raiders in each of their seven major meets, being one of the first two Red Raiders to cross the finish line each time ... Rivera's best performance on an 8,000 meter course this season was a 24:35.41 to place fourth at the Red Raider Open ... Rivera finished 44th at the Big 12 Championships, navigating the 8,000 meter course in 25:37.0.
2014 OUTDOOR
All-Big 12 Performer in the 800 meters on the outdoor circuit as well, taking seventh at the conference meet (1:54.68) ... Won the 800 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational, with a season-best 1:50.19 ... Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminaries in the 800 meters, where he finished 27th (1:50.72).
2014 INDOOR
All-Big 12 performer in the 1,000 meters, taking fifth place, with a time of 2:24.76 ... Placed second in the mile at the Texas A&M Triangular, finishing in 4:09.05 ... His best 800 meter performace of the season came at the Boston Valentine Invitational, where he ran a 1:51.30, finishing 16th.
2013 OUTDOOR
U.S. Junior 800-meter Champion...finished first overall at the U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa...crossed the finish line with a career-best 1:49.55...Big 12 800-meter Champion...first Red Raider and first Big 12 athlete since 2008 to sweep conference championships in both the indoor and outdoor 800-meter run in the same season...advanced to the NCAA West Preliminaries...clocked a career-best 1:50.03 in the finals of the Big 12 Championships...also competed in the 1,500-meter run...recorded a season-best 3:50.35 in the 1,500-meter run to finish 39th at the Mt. SAC Relays.
2013 INDOOR
Big 12 800-meter Champion...first Texas Tech athlete to win the event at the Big 12 Indoor Championships...first freshman since 2004 to win the Big 12 Indoor 800-meter run...won the conference title with a time of 1:52.29...advanced out of the preliminaries with a season-best 1:52.02...also competed in the 1,000-meter run, mile run and as a leg on the distance medley relay team...helped the DMR to finish third at the Big 12 Championships...clocked a season-best 4:13.02 to finish 22nd at the Meyo Invitational in the mile run.
2012 CROSS COUNTRY
Competed in five meets during the season...finished sixth overall at the Texas Tech Open (9/14) in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 26:06.94...competed at the Mountain Regional Championships finishing 77th overall in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 32:30.4...finished 49th overall at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 25:38.8 in the 8,000-meter race.
