Alcorn's second year saw the Red Raiders return to the NCAA Regionals for the 15th-straight year and a team tournament title at the El Macero Classic.
Alcorn's first year saw plenty of success as the Red Raiders completed their 14th-straight trip to the NCAA Championships by earning a spot in the Lubbock Regional, where they took second to earn a spot in the finals, in Bradenton, Fla.
Alcorn comes to the South Plains after spending time playing on the Adams Golf Pro Tour and as a caddy on the PGA Tour.
Alcorn played four years at Baylor from 2003-07. He won four tournaments including three his sophomore year in 2004-05 to tie a Baylor school record for individual victories in a season. His 71.76 stroke average led the Bears that season and was third in the Big 12 Conference to help him earn All-Big 12 First Team honors and a PING All-America Honorable Mention selection.
He finished his collegiate career with 11 top-5 finishes (third-best at Baylor), 17 top-10 finishes (fourth-best), and 133 career rounds played (fourth-best).
Alcorn won his first professional tournament on the Adams Tour in 2009 at the Jamie Hilton Hillcrest Children's Golf Classic at Twin Rivers Golf Club in Waco - a familiar course for the Baylor grad. He won the tournament on the first playoff hole to finish at 9-under par (70-70-68-71--279).
The last few years he's found himself on the bag as a caddie on the PGA Tour. Most recently, Alcorn has spent time caddying for Brice Garnett.
