Graham, Bresnu place in Top 5 at The Clerico
October 28, 2025 | Men's Golf
TULSA, Okla. – Texas Tech men's golf sophomore Connor Graham and junior Adam Bresnu earned a runner-up and third-place finish, respectively, at The Clerico at Southern Hills Country Club on Tuesday. As a team, the Red Raiders finished third among a group of 12 at 22-over-par, following a 15-over-par final round on a cold, wet, and windy morning in the Sooner State that pushed the average score above 77 on the par 70 course on the final day.
Â
Graham, who finished in second place – his best career finish – carded a final round even-par 70 to wrap his 54 holes as one of two golfers in the field to finish the event below par at 2-under-par (208). Graham's final round included three birdies to three bogeys and ended up just one shot off the winning score, carded by Auburn's Josiah Gilbert (3-under-par 207). Graham's opening round 67 on Monday was followed by a second round of 71, which he completed early Tuesday morning as darkness halted play for him on hole No. 16 during his second round late on Monday.
Â
The Blairgowrie, Scotland, native wraps his fall season with top-15 finishes in all four events he competed in this fall, which also included a pair of top-10 finishes.
Â
Meanwhile, Bresnu was three shots off Graham's pace and four off the lead en route to his solo third-place finish. He carded two birdies on his opening nine holes, but four dropped shots to only one red number on the back nine all but ended his ability to make a run for the win. The Odessa College transfer finished his week 1-over-par (67-71-73).Â
Â
The finish marks Bresnu's second top five this fall, and he finished in the top 20 in all four fall events for the Red Raiders.
Â
No. 1 Auburn walked away the winner of The Clerico, topping No. 6 Oklahoma State by six shots and the No. 13 Red Raiders by 14 shots.
Â
Texas Tech will return to action in the spring at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waimea, Hawaii, Feb. 5-7 at Mauna Lani Golf Course.
