Texas Tech announced its second advanced sellout of the 2026 season Friday
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech announced Friday it has sold out of its primary ticket inventory for the Sept. 5 season opener versus Abilene Christian at Galaxy Stadium.
This is the second advanced sellout already for the 2026 season, with other dates on the seven-game home slate still moving quickly. Texas Tech previously announced a sellout for the Sept. 26 non-conference finale against Sam Houston, which serves as the annual Agriculture Game as well as Parents Weekend on campus.
Texas Tech is already nearing its third sellout as less than 1,500 seats remain for the Oct. 17 home game against Arizona State. The Red Raiders' home dates also include Houston on Sept. 18 to open Big 12 play, Arizona on Oct. 31, West Virginia on Nov. 7 and then the Thanksgiving Night showdown with TCU on Nov. 26.
All seven of Texas Tech's home dates last year reached an advanced sellout status with the only ticket inventory available coming through secondary markets. For the Abilene Christian and Sam Houston games, fans are encouraged to utilize SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider of the athletics department.
Kickoff between Texas Tech and Abilene Christian is set for 6 p.m. from Galaxy Stadium. Coverage will be provided nationally on FOX Sports 1 as well as the Texas Tech Sports Network.
