Red Raiders fourth heading into final round of Big 12 Championship

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — No. 6 Texas Tech continued play at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday and sits in fourth place after 54 holes at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
The Red Raiders carded a 2-over 282 in the third round and are 1-over 841 through three rounds of the 72-hole championship. Texas Tech slipped one spot after entering the day in third.
No. 5 Oklahoma State leads the field at 19-under 821 and holds a nine-shot advantage over No. 20 Arizona entering the final round. TCU moved into third at 1-under, two shots ahead of the Red Raiders.
Adam Bresnu and Tim Wiedemeyer are tied for 10th at 2-under 208 to lead Texas Tech individually.
Bresnu continued his strong play with his second consecutive under-par round, firing a 2-under 68 after a 3-under 67 in Monday's second round. He rebounded from an opening-round 73 to move into the top 10.
Wiedemeyer posted a 2-over 72 on Tuesday, dropping from a tie for third into a tie for 10th. He sits at 2-under for the championship.
Ben Gregg is tied for 25th at 2-over 212 after a 3-over 73, while Connor Graham is tied for 41st at 6-over 216 following a 2-over 72.
Simon Hovdal, who entered the event as an alternate, was inserted into the round-three lineup in place of Brady McHenry. Hovdal carded an even-par 70, giving the Red Raiders one of their four counting scores toward the 2-over 282 team total.
Oklahoma State's Preston Stout leads the individual race at 11-under, holding a two-shot advantage over BYU's Kihei Akina.
The final round of the Big 12 Championship begins Wednesday at 8 a.m. CDT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
