Lady Raiders sign Tahys Da Silva

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders have signed Tahys Da Silva out of Salt Lake Community College announced by head coach Krista Gerlich on Thursday.
"Tahys is an All-American with elite three-point shooting ability," Gerlich said. "She is one of the most efficient players in the nation. A big, athletic guard with great passing as well, fits into our system perfectly. Her length will impact our perimeter defense along with her impressive work ethic. She is another French connection for the Lady Raiders that will continue to elevate our program."
Da Silva is a 6-0 guard from Paris, France who comes to Texas Tech from Salt Lake Community College in Utah. Over her career, Da Silva recorded 12.1 points per game, 3.0 assists per game, 2.3 steals per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 46 blocks, a .450 field goal percentage, a .396 three-point percentage and an .806 free throw percentage.
As a sophomore in 2025-26, Da Silva aided Salt Lake CC to a 22-10 overall record and a 10-5 record in the SWAC and helped the team make the Region 18 Championship game. Starting in all 32 games for the Bruins, Da Silva led the team with 14.3 points per game. She also posted a conference-leading 84 made three-pointers and 1,113 total minutes played, while ranking second in conference with 85 steals to earn Region 18 All-SWAC First Team honors.
In addition, Da Silva closed out the year with 125 assists, 102 rebounds, 459 points, 24 blocks, a .473 field goal percentage and a .438 three-point percentage. Making the 2026 Region 18 All-Tournament Team, Da Silva led the Bruins in points, threes, assists and steals, while ranking second on the team in rebounds and third in blocks.
During her freshman campaign, Da Silva helped the Bruins to a Region 18 Championship and an automatic big into the National Tournament after going 21-11 on the year. Named to the Region 18 All-SWAC Second Team, Da Silva once again led the team in points per game (9.7), threes (48) and steals (61). Playing in 31 games and starting in 28 of them, Da Silva also totaled 61 assists, 22 blocks, 80 rebounds, a .427 field goal percentage and an .815 free throw percentage. She finished the season playing the most minutes on the team at 30.3 per game, while also shooting 35.3 percent from behind the arc.
