Injury Update on JT Toppin

LUBBOCK – An MRI has confirmed that Texas Tech junior forward JT Toppin sustained a season-ending torn ACL in his right knee Tuesday night in the game at Arizona State.
A four-time Big 12 Player of the Week selection this season, Toppin leads the nation with 234 made field goals and averages 21.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He leads the Big 12 with 16 double-doubles, 10.8 rebounds and 4.2 offensive rebounds per game. Nationally, Toppin ranks third in double-doubles, sixth in rebounding and ninth in scoring. Toppin earned Consensus Second Team All-America and Big 12 Player of the Year last season and led the Red Raiders to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. Through 93 career games, Toppin has 1,593 points, 907 rebounds and 47 double-doubles.
