Texas Tech announced its second advanced sellout of the season for Saturday’s opener against UAPB
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's season opener Saturday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff has reached sellout status, the athletics department announced Thursday. Kickoff between the Red Raiders and Golden Lions is slated for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+ and the Texas Tech Sports Network.
This will be the third-consecutive season the Red Raiders have opened in front of a sold-out crowd with more than 60,000 fans expected Saturday night inside Jones AT&T Stadium. It is the first of two advanced sellouts already on the books as Red Raider fans have also secured the entire primary ticket inventory for the Oct. 25 showdown with Oklahoma State.
While Texas Tech is out of its primary ticket inventory, tickets can still be purchased for both the Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Oklahoma State games through SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider of the athletics department. Â
The Arkansas-Pine Bluff sellout continues Texas Tech's run of capacity crowds under head coach Joey McGuire as the Red Raiders have already sold out of season tickets for a third-consecutive season. Single-game tickets, meanwhile, are in sharp demand as Texas Tech only has a limited inventory remaining for the Sept. 6 home date against Kent State next weekend.
Pregame festivities begin with Raider Alley opening at 2:30 p.m. Saturday followed by Raider Walk at 4 p.m. and the Raider Alley Concert Series featuring Texas Tech alumnus Pat Green at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon.
