Less than 500 tickets remain for Saturday’s season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff
LUBBOCK, Texas – Red Raider Football is officially back in Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday when Texas Tech hosts Arkansas-Pine Bluff to open the 101st season of football on the South Plains. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. inside Jones AT&T Stadium with coverage provided on ESPN+ and the Texas Tech Sports Network.
The 2025 campaign represents one of the most-anticipated seasons for the Red Raiders in recent memory, resulting in season tickets being sold out for a third-consecutive year and capacity crowds expected every home weekend inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Don't have tickets yet? Tickets are still available for six out of seven home game outside the Oct. 25 date with Oklahoma State.
For those with their seat already locked in for the 2025 season, Texas Tech's gameday experience will match the Red Raiders' play on the field with several new additions throughout Jones AT&T Stadium. Below is a listing of the key information Red Raiders should know for gameday.
PROTECT THE TRADITION: TORTILLA TOSS ONLY ON THE OPENING KICKOFF
Red Raider fans are encouraged to help protect the longstanding Texas Tech tradition by only throwing tortillas during the opening kickoff this season. Following a 15-to-1 vote by the Big 12 Conference athletics directors earlier this month, Texas Tech will receive two warnings from the officiating crew followed by a 15-yard penalty for objects thrown on the field. The atmosphere inside Jones AT&T Stadium annually ranks among the best in the country, giving the Red Raiders homefield advantage each and every Saturday. Protect the tradition and protect the Red Raiders by throwing tortillas straight into the air and never on the field.
LESS THAN 500 TICKETS REMAIN FOR SEASON OPENER
Texas Tech has less than 500 tickets remaining for Saturday's season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in what is expected to be a sellout crowd at Jones AT&T Stadium. Fans still looking to secure their seat to catch the 2025 edition of the Red Raiders for the first time can still do so by purchasing online at TexasTech.com or by speaking to a Ticket Sales Representative at 806-742-TECH.
Once the game reaches sellout status, fans can still purchase tickets through SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider for Texas Tech Athletics. The athletics department has already called an advanced sellout of the Oct. 25 home contest against Oklahoma State with tickets for that game still available on SeatGeek.
DOWNLOAD YOUR TICKETS AND BE READY TO "TAP AND GO" AT THE GATE
Texas Tech has introduced a new "tap and go" mobile ticketing system to assist fans with quicker entry each gameday. All football tickets, including premium areas, remain 100 percent mobile only but will not utilize a QR code for scanning moving forward. Instead, fans will place their downloaded mobile ticket near ticket scanners that will identify each mobile ticket wirelessly. Fans with multiple tickets will need to swipe horizontally to each ticket and tap it near the scanner for entry.
Most importantly, Texas Tech no longer accepts screenshots of mobile tickets in order to further protect ticket holders from scams or counterfeit purchases. As a reminder, fans are highly encouraged to download their tickets in advance of arriving to Jones AT&T Stadium in order to speed up the entry process and to ensure connectivity. Unable to make a game? Transfer your ticket to a friend using the Texas Tech mobile app or by accessing the online ticket account at TexasTech.com. Step-by-step instructions can be found here via TexasTech+.
@TEXASTECHFB ON X THE BEST SOURCE FOR GAMEDAY INFORMATION
Texas Tech Athletics is actively monitoring weather conditions for Saturday's game. If inclement weather moves into the area, fans are encouraged to follow Texas Tech Football's social media accounts for regular updates. As a reminder, umbrellas are not allowed inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S LARGEST DRONE SHOW SLATED FOR END OF THIRD QUARTER
Texas Tech will set a new record Saturday for the largest drone show ever to take place at a college football game. The show will feature more than 950 drones between the third and fourth quarters, roughly 150 more than any other college football game in history. The total drone number also represents three times more than Texas Tech's show to start the 2024 season.

PREGAME FLYOVER SET PRIOR TO KICKOFF
Texas Tech will celebrate its season opener with a pregame flyover from the 434th Flying Training Squadron out of Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. The crew will feature four T-6 Texans flying over Jones AT&T Stadium at the conclusion of the National Anthem.
JONES AT&T STADIUM NOW HAS FIVE MARKETPLACES ON THE CONCOURSE
Fans looking for an efficient way to purchase concessions have five different grab-and-go marketplace options to try around Jones AT&T Stadium with the addition of "4th and Goal" near Gate 3 (northwest corner). The marketplace concept has been a popular attraction for Red Raider fans since its inception with "Touchdown Tavern" located on the south end zone concourse, the "Let's Go" and "Take Three" locations at Gate 1 (southwest corner) and Gate 4 (northeast corner) and "Matador Marketplace" on the west side mezzanine level.
GAMEDAY PARKING INFORMATION
All fans with pre-purchased parking can begin accessing lots on campus starting at 7:30 a.m. each gameday by using the printed parking passes issued by Texas Tech Athletics. Fans are reminded to please park in the assigned lot listed on the pass, and if the lot has a reserved space, please park in the space number listed. Cars not parked in the correct spot or cars impeding the spot next to them are subject to towing.
RV pass holders can access their parking location beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday evenings and must exit by 10 a.m. on Sunday. Fans wishing to tailgate are reminded that tends cannot exceed 10x10 or the size of the designated space.
As always, fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure plenty of time to access the correct lot and enter Jones AT&T Stadium in time for pregame festivities with the Goin' Band from Raiderland and kickoff between the Red Raiders and Golden Lions.
THERE'S MORE TO LIKE ABOUT THE GAMEDAY EXPERIENCE
The gameday experience inside Jones AT&T Stadium will get another added boost this season with upgrades to Texas Tech's video displays and fireworks presentation. Texas Tech has increased its live-video windows on both the north and south videoboards with fans getting a 23 percent increase on the north end of the stadium and a 33 percent increase on both of the south displays. Texas Tech has also enhanced its in-game statistics with more prominent locations on each of its video displays.
Texas Tech has also added "picture in picture" to show fans both live game action with the addition of replays to keep up with the Red Raiders' fast-paced offense on the field. In between the action, Texas Tech will update fans on what's happening across the country with regular score updates and live look-ins at games across college football.
Texas Tech's iconic entrance will be further boosted with an expanded fireworks and special effects package for all seven games. Texas Tech will also debut new lighting sequences for between the third and fourth quarters and at kickoff. As a reminder, Texas Tech utilizes a lighting system that allows for choregraphed patterns designed to music during its pregame entrance, in-between quarters and after touchdowns. Any persons who are susceptible to photosensitive seizures or other light sensitivities should not participate and should avoid exposure to the flashing light display.

RAIDER ALLEY KICKS OFF WITH ALUMNUS PAT GREEN
Red Raider fans will hear the tunes of "Wave on Wave" and "Three Days" on Saturday when Texas Tech alumnus Pat Green kicks off another season at Raider Alley presented by Bud Light. The Grammy Award nominated country artist will take the stage at 4:30 p.m. for a free concert in Raider Alley, which opens four hours prior to kickoff each Saturday, featuring plenty of entertainment for fans of all ages.Â
Raider Alley will be headlined by a pregame musical act beginning two hours prior to kickoff each week. In addition to Pat Green, the Raider Alley Concert Series will also feature Grant Gilbert on Sept. 6 versus Kent State, Too $hort on Sept. 13 against Oregon State and then Waka Flocka Flame as part of Homecoming festivities Oct. 11 against Kansas. The Raider Alley Concert Series is once again sponsored by Davis Smith Law Firm and is located in the heart of campus in the Texas Tech Engineering Key.

Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders will be dropped around 4 p.m. Saturday immediately south of the Sports Performance Center and will walk north down Drive of Champions Avenue to their gameday locker room in the South End Zone Building. Fans are encouraged to line Drive of Champions as the Red Raiders will be joined by the Saddle Tramps and Texas Tech spirit programs.
