Joey McGuire Radio Show debuts Thursday night at Rudy's

LUBBOCK, Texas – The 2025 debut radio show of "Red Raider Football with Joey McGuire" is set for Thursday night, from 6-7 p.m., live at Rudy's Country Store and BBQ. Red Raider fans are invited to the store to watch the broadcast live, located on 4930 South Loop 289, while those who cannot attend can listen locally each week on Double T 97.3 FM.
This Thursday's show marks the first of 11 broadcasts this fall featuring the Red Raiders' head football coach. McGuire will also be joined each week by a member of his staff or a player from the team.
The debut show will feature defensive coordinator Shiel Wood during the second half, while it is anticipated that offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich will join the show, week two.
"Red Raider Football with Joey McGuire" will be hosted each week by Chris Level on the Texas Tech Sports Network, which can be found on 17 stations across the state. The radio show can also be found on the Varsity Network app as well as on TexasTech+, which is the free digital platform of Texas Tech Athletics. The weekly show will take a break during the Red Raiders' first bye week and conclude with its last show on Nov. 13, leading into Senior Day, as the following week will be the Red Raiders' second bye week, and then the last week of the regular season coincides with the Thanksgiving holiday.
