Texas Tech, Big 12 announce 2025 soccer schedule

The Red Raiders will host nine matches at the John Walker Soccer Complex
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Soccer in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference announced its complete 2025 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
Fresh off hosting an NCAA Tournament for the second straight year and a second-place finish in the Big 12 standings, the Red Raiders return a strong core highlighted by All-Americans Sam Courtwright and Macy Blackburn as well as First Team All-Big 12 selection Faith Nguyen.
The Red Raiders kick-off the 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 7 with their annual scrimmage at Denver before the season opener at an opponent to be determined.
As of now, the Red Raiders 2025 home opener is schedule against Youngstown State on Aug. 17.
The road calls once again for the Red Raiders the next weekend when they head west to California for road matches at Santa Clara (Aug. 21) and San Francisco (Aug. 24).
After the trip to Northern California, the Red Raiders will return home for a Thursday (Aug. 28) match against ACC foe SMU.
The Red Raiders open the Month of September once again on the road as they head to Las Cruces to face New Mexico State on Sept. 4. Â
Following a weekend off, the Red Raiders will close non-conference play against Utah State at Walker (Sept. 14). The matchup between Utah State and Tech will mark the third-straight season the Red Raiders and Aggies have faced off.
Big 12 Conference play arrives on Friday night, Sept. 19, when the Red Raider head to Waco for a 7 p.m. contest against Baylor before Houston visits The Walker on Sept. 25.
After another road test at Iowa State (Sept. 28), the Red Raiders open the month of October with three straight home games against Oklahoma State (Oct. 2), Kansas (Oct. 5) and TCU (Oct. 10).
Following the three match homestand, the Red Raiders will follow with three-straight road contests at Arizona State (Oct. 16), Arizona (Oct. 19) and Colorado (Oct. 23), before a pair of home contests against Kansas State (Oct. 26) and UCF (Oct. 30) close out the regular season.
The Big 12 Tournament takes on a different format in 2025 as just eight of the leagues' teams will make the three-round event. The Quarterfinals and Semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament will be played on Nov. 3 and Nov. 5 at Baylor before the Big 12 Championship match moves to TCU on Saturday, Nov. 8.
In total the Red Raiders will face seven teams that made the 2024 NCAA Tournament field including four teams (Wake Forest, Colorado, TCU and Santa Clara) that won a match in the 2024 event.
