Distance and jump groups will represent Tech out west this weekend
LUBBOCK, Texas – Several members of the distance and jump groups will represent Texas Tech this weekend competing in the Bryan Clay Invitational and MT. SAC Relays out west in California.

Last Time Out
Tech traveled to College Station last weekend for the 44 Farms Invitational hosted by Texas A&M. Highlights included NCAA indoor high jump champion Temitope Adeshina making her outdoor debut as she won the event clearing 1.86m (6-1 ¼).
Over on the throws side, Shelby Frank placed second in the hammer throw with a new SB of 66.24m (217-4) as she now owns the 1-6 marks in the Texas Tech top-10.
In the Know
The Red Raiders distance crew will be over at the Bryan Clay meet, while the jumps squad heads over to MT. SAC.
One of the most anticipated Red Raider debuts will be that of Victoria Gorlova. The Russian native transferred to Tech from Virginia Tech with only an outdoor season remaining. In an indoor meet earlier in the year, Gorlova leaped 14.02m, currently ranking her No. 14 in the world. She also has a long jump of 6.76m, putting her No. 12 in the world.
On the distance side, Ernest Cheruiyot will debut in the 10k race, while Titus Kimaru will compete in the steeplechase for the second time this season – he currently ranks No. 30 in the NCAA with a time of 8:49.80.
