Team/Event Notes:
- After 11 regular-season tournaments throughout the 2024-25 academic year, Texas Tech is preparing for the 2025 edition of the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship.
- The tournament will be held at The Clubs of Houston Oaks, in Hockley, Texas, just northwest of the greater Houston area, for the second consecutive season and third time over the last four years. Four of the five Red Raiders in the 2025 lineup were also competitors in the 2024 event (results).
- From 2013-2023, the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship featured nine teams. It changed to 13 teams in 2024 with the additions of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF, and in 2025, it altered again to 14 teams with the departures of Oklahoma and Texas and the additions of Arizona, Arizona State and BYU.
- The event will serve as the 28th edition of the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship; Texas Tech's best finish is second place (2021) at the conference event; the Red Raiders also own three third-place finishes in that time (1999, 2015, 2017).
- Per national rankings (Scoreboard), four teams enter the week in the Top 25, led by Big 12 newcomer Arizona State checking in at No. 8. Others in the Top 25 include TCU (No. 15), Arizona (No. 19), and Kansas (No. 22), while Houston is just outside at No. 26. The Red Raiders enter the event at No. 61, trailing the five aforementioned teams as well as Kansas State (No. 28), Iowa State (No. 29), Oklahoma State (No. 30), UCF (No. 31), Baylor (No. 37) and BYU (No. 55). Teams are seeded by the national rankings, placing the Red Raiders as the No. 12 seed at this year's championship.
- The reigning Big 12 Golfer of the Month is Texas Tech's Klara Hurtova. She was tabbed the league's top player for the month of March on April 3. Hurtova won her first two career events in Marc while leading the Red Raiders to a team win during the month.
- The Red Raiders have won two events this season. Their first win came in the fall, winning their home event (856, -8), the Red Raider Invitational, while in the spring, the Red Raiders won the Pinetree Women's Collegiate (871, +19).Â
- The Red Raiders' home course, The Rawls Course, is one of six NCAA Regional sites this spring. Regionals will take place May 5-7 in 2025. A selection show for the NCAA postseason is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23.
- Texas Tech is led by Robertson, who is in her 15th season at the helm. She is assisted by Anna Dong (hired on Aug. 27, 2024). Dong was the 2023 Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, who played five seasons for Robertson.
