No. 13 Lady Raiders head to Boulder this week

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 13 Texas Tech Lady Raiders will head to Boulder, Colo., to take on the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT at the Meadows Club. The Lady Raiders are 6-12 all-time against the Buffs, last getting a 7-0 win over Colorado on April 15, 2011.
Texas Tech (14-2, 7-1 Big 12) is coming off a dominant win against the previously undefeated in conference play UCF Knights last weekend. In that match, Tech picked up two ranked singles wins and a doubles win en route to a 4-1 victory.
The Lady Raiders are led in dual singles wins by Yekaterina Dmitrichenko, who boasts a 12-1 record. Right behind her is Hailey Murphy with a 10-2 record and Jermine Sherif with a perfect 8-0 record. In dual doubles, the No. 4-ranked duo of Mariia Hlahola and Avelina Sayfetdinova are leading the team with 11 victories. Following them is the pairing of Sherif and Andreea Lila with a 10-3 record.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Colorado Buffaloes are 7-9 overall and 1-7 in conference play, getting their first Big 12 win last Sunday against Houston, 4-1. Some recent losses came to UCF, TCU and Baylor, while they have key wins over Denver, UNLV and New Mexico. The Buffs are led in dual singles wins by two players with eight each – Mila Stanojevic and Betina Tokac. In dual doubles, the tandem of Lera Alexin and Stanojevic lead the way with seven wins, mostly at court three.
