Team/Event Notes:

Texas Tech is preparing for its second tournament in as many weeks in the state of Georgia with the Pinetree Women's Collegiate set to tee off on Monday, March 24. The Red Raiders remained in the Peach State with the university's Spring Break taking place after the Valspar Augusta Invitational, which concluded on March 16. A mere 200 miles separated the two events.
While on Spring Break, the Red Raiders were able to enjoy practice rounds at the Champions Retreat Golf Club and Palmetto Golf Club.
The Pinetree Women's Collegiate will be the 10th event for Texas Tech this season and the fifth this calendar year. Its top finish this season is winning its home event (856, -8), the Red Raider Invitational. Its top finish away from home was a tie for fourth (849, -15) at the Jim West Challenge, hosted by Texas State. Both were contested in the fall.
On the individual side, sophomore Klara Hurtova picked up her first collegiate win last time out, as she led the Valspar Augusta Invitational field with a 5-under-par 139 after the first two rounds of action. She was declared the individual medalist once officials canceled Sunday's final round due to heavy rains that made conditions unplayable at Forest Hills Golf Club.
None of the current Red Raiders on the 2024-25 roster have competed at Pinetree Country Club, but head coach JoJo Robertson has taken a team there before. Texas Tech last played Pinetree Country Club in the spring of 2016 when it was called the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate. The Red Raiders won the team title by 10 strokes.
The Red Raiders' home course, The Rawls Course, is one of six NCAA Regional sites this spring.
Texas Tech is led by Robertson, who is in her 15th season at the helm. She is assisted by Anna Dong (hired on Aug. 27, 2024). Dong was the 2023 Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year who played five seasons for Robertson.
