
Ashleigh Williams signs with Midlothian FC

The former First Team All-Region Selection will join the Scottish Premiership Club
EDINBURGH, U.K. – Former United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Midwest Region selection Ashleigh Williams has signed a professional contract with English-based club Midlothian FC of the Scottish Premiership.
A veteran of 84 appearances and 72 career starts, Williams scored 37 total goals and tallied seven assists during her Red Raider career.
Finishing as one of the most clutch players in program history, Williams ended her four-year career with 14 total game-winners, seven of which came during the historic 2023 season when she scored 14 times and recorded 34 total points.
Williams' 14 goals during the 2023 season were the fourth-most in a single-season while her 34 total points were the third most by a Red Raider in a season. The forwards seven game-winners were a single-season program record, while her 81 total points and 37 career goals are the fourth-most in school history.
Known for her knack for scoring big goals, the Red Raiders went 25-1-1 all-time when Williams found the back of the net.
Williams has already joined Hearts Women's for the second half of their schedule. The club currently sits in in fifth in SWPL1 riding a 13-4-3 mark.
