Red Raiders set for Big 12 Indoor Championships

The men’s team will be going for three-straight indoor trophies
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team is set to host the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Sports Performance Center. It's the third-straight year Tech hosts the meet and fifth overall.
Friday will start with six field events being scored along with four running events and the pentathlon. A majority of running events will go through prelims before having each final Saturday afternoon.
Meet Coverage
The men's side will be looking for three-straight indoor titles after winning last year's meet scoring 152 points. Meanwhile, the women's team will be searching for their first Big 12 title after finishing second the last four of six seasons. Overall, they've finished in second place six times (2009, 2010, 2019, 2020. 2022, 2024).
Rankings
The Tech women come into the meet ranked No. 4 in the country, while the men come in ranked No. 5. Overall, in the Big 12, the women's side features four teams ranked in the top-25, headlined by No. 2 BYU. On the men's side, the meet features three top-25 opponents with Tech leading the way.
On the Lookout
The Tech men head into the meet with a pair of top-10 60m sprinters in Shawn Brown and Malachi Snow, while having top-3 60m hurdlers in Antoine Andrews and Snow. Over in the pole vault, Sean Gribble is ranked No. 3 in the country when it comes to the pole vault.
As far as the women go, Temitope Adeshina is not No. 2-ranked high jumper with Evelyn Lavielle being ranked No. 9. Naomi Krebs leads the hurdles crew with the No. 2 time in the nation as Success Umukoro paces the 60m sprint squad ranked No. 3. Shelby Frank has been a top weight thrower all season, coming in ranked No. 3.
