Red Raiders release spring schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Men's Tennis team released its spring season schedule on Tuesday, highlighted by 13 home matches on the year.
The season begins on Jan. 16 with a home match against Southern Miss. Tech heads to Colorado for a match against Denver on Jan. 23, then comes back home for a match against Oral Roberts on Jan. 25. The home slate continues at the McLeod Tennis Center with contests against Nebraska on Jan. 30, Wichita State on Jan. 31 and a doubleheader against New Mexico State and UTRGV on Feb. 7.
The Red Raiders host Louisiana on Feb. 13 and New Mexico a couple days later before going on the road for the next six matches. The Scarlet and Black will first play Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., on Feb. 20, then head to Atlanta for a match against Georgia Tech on Feb. 22.
Tech goes to Santa Barbara, Calif., for two matches against UNCW on March 6 and UC Santa Barbara on March 7. Big 12 play begins on the road at UCF in Orlando on March 13 and at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas on March 15. The Red Raiders will welcome Oklahoma State and UTSA to Lubbock for matches on March 21 and March 22, respectively.
Texas Tech follows with a trip to Utah for matches against BYU on March 27 and Utah on March 29. The Red Raiders end the year with three-straight home matches against Arizona State (April 3), Arizona (April 5) and Baylor (April 9). The Big 12 Championships will begin in Orlando on April 16-20.
