Red Raiders in the NFL | Regular Season Week 16, Dec. 18-Dec. 22
LUBBOCK, Texas – Despite leading the NFL in tackles, former Red Raider and Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks was not selected to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday. Brooks recorded a game-high 14 tackles in Miami's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, marking his ninth double-digit tackle performance of the season. He increased his season total to 169 tackles, nine more than the next closest player in the league.
In addition to Brooks' start, several other former Red Raiders started for their respective teams over the weekend, including Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Arizona Cardinals), Terence Steele (Dallas Cowboys) and Caleb Rogers (Las Vegas Raiders).

ARIZONA CARDINALS vs. Atlanta Falcons (L, 26-19)
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (2019-23): After missing five-straight games dealing with an ankle injury, Taylor-Demerson returned to the lineup making his third start of the season at safety. He led the Cardinals with a career-high 11 tackles and added one pass breakup.
RB Tahj Brooks (2020-24): Brooks saw action on both special teams and offense. On offense, he rushed the ball four times for seven yards, while on special teams, he had a kickoff return for 41 yards and assisted on a tackle.
OL Terence Steele (2016-19): Steele played all but one offensive snap.
DE Tyree Wilson (2020-22): Wilson recorded one tackle as he played 21 snaps on defense.
LB Jordyn Brooks (2016-19): Brooks registered a game-high 14 tackles, including one pass breakup. It's his ninth game of the season recording double-digit tackles and sixth with at least 13 tackles. Brooks continues to lead the NFL in tackles with 169 stops – nine more than the next player.
P Austin McNamara (2020-23): McNamara punted five times for 231 yards, landing three inside the 20. His longest boot of the day went for 55 yards.
DB Tyler Owens (2022-23): Owens only saw playing time on special teams, recording 22 snaps.
