
Tech to compete at Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to Dallas for the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge tournament hosted by SMU on Nov. 1 to Nov. 3.
The Red Raiders recently competed at the ITA Texas Regional tournament in Waco, Texas last week as the team recorded 10 total wins there. Senior Piotr Pawlak had a good showing in singles after advancing to the Round of 16 with a win against Baylor's Oskar Brostrom Paulsen and his first career ranked victory coming against Texas A&M's No. 112-ranked Luke Casper.
In addition, the duo of Felipe Pagnacco and Tyler Stewart earned a first-round win in doubles, while both Brody Nejedly-Krall and Sebastian Abboud advanced out of qualifying to the main draw with a couple of singles wins. Nejedly-Krall currently leads the team with five singles wins, followed by both Abboud and Niksa Arsic with four apiece.
The Red Raiders going to the tournament are Takeyasu Sekiguchi, Pawlak, Pagnacco and Nejedly-Krall. Team competing at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge are SMU, Cal, Baylor, TCU, Memphis, Harvard, BYU, Tulsa, UT Arlington, Oklahoma, Nebraska, UTSA, Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
