TEXAS TECH MATCH NOTES• With the win, Kansas State now leads the all-time series 29-8 over Texas Tech, including an 11-5 mark when playing in Manhattan.
• Kansas State picked up its 15th-consecutive victory over Texas Tech with the win as the Red Raiders have not defeated the Wildcats since taking a 3-2 victory on Nov. 10, 2004, in Manhattan.
• The 2004 match between the two schools also marked the last time Texas Tech defeated a ranked opponent. Kansas State was ranked 20th in the country at the time.
• Despite dropping the match, Texas Tech was able to take a ranked team to a fifth set since falling 3-2 to No. 25 Oklahoma on Oct. 1 last year in Lubbock.
• Texas Tech had not previously taken a ranked team to five sets on the road since topping the 20th-ranked Wildcats on Nov. 10, 2004, in Manhattan.
• The loss dropped the Red Raiders to 3-2 this year in five-set matches. Texas Tech's only other loss was Sept. 19 at Nevada.
• Texas Tech's seven aces marked its most during Big 12 play this year. It was also the Tech's most since recording a season-high nine against Northwestern State on Sept. 1 earlier this season.
• The Red Raiders came close to overcoming a two-set deficit for the second time already this year as Tech also rallied to defeat Boston College in five sets on Aug. 25.
Don Flora
• Dropped to 296-88 overall as a head coach and 27-29 while at Texas Tech.
• Dropped to 8-16 in true road contests while at Texas Tech.
• Dropped to 5-5 in five-set matches while at Texas Tech.
Meghan Stacy
• Stacy recorded a career-high 19 kills in the match, snapping her previous mark of 16 set against Houston Baptist on Sept. 14 in the Rice Invitational opener.
• The performance marked the second time the freshman has been in double digits during Big 12 play as she also connected on 10 kills last Saturday at West Virginia.
• Stacy also posted a career-high three aces as well, marking the fourth time this year a Red Raider had recorded three or more in a match. • Her 12 kills in the fourth frame alone marked the most for a Texas Tech player in an individual set this season.
Rachel Brummitt
• Brummitt recorded her team-leading eighth 20-dig performance this year as she totaled 21 against the Wildcats. It was the second time in Tech's last three matches where Brummitt has reached the 20-dig mark.
Ellen Sorrells
• Sorrells recorded a season-high 10 digs from the back row, surpassing her previous high of seven that she set Oct. 6 against No. 22 Iowa State. It was the freshman's fifth appearance this year in a match.
• Sorrells also added three aces, including two late in the fourth set. It marked a season high for the freshman and the fourth time this year a Red Raider has recorded three or more aces in a match.
Breeann David
• David recorded her season high in kills during Big 12 play as the sophomore connected on 12 against the Wildcats. It was her most since dropping 10 against No. 9 Texas on Sept. 29.
Whitney Ford
• Ford came off the bench to connect on a season-high three kills to go along with two blocks. Her four sets played marked her most action in a match this season.
Brianna Grant
• Like Ford, Grant also came off the bench to notch season highs with five kills and four blocks. She also recorded a .333 hitting percentage after totaling a pair of errors off nine total attacks.
