LUBBOCK, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced today that FOX Sports Net will televise Texas Tech's Oct. 21 Big 12 Conference game at Kansas State as part of the network's national package. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at KSU Stadium in Manhattan, Kan.
The game against the Wildcats marks the fourth time this season that Texas Tech has been on television, all four times on FOX Sports Net. The Red Raiders opener against New Mexico at Jones SBC Stadium was a FOX Sports broadcast as was the game at Texas A&M and the Nebraska game in Lubbock.
The Red Raiders enter the game with a 5-2 record and 1-2 mark in league play. Texas Tech fell to top-ranked Nebraska last weekend. Kansas State is 10th in the Associated Press and eighth in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. KSU is 6-1 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 play.
The game against the Wildcats marks the first time this season the Red Raiders will have faced back-to-back ranked teams. The last time the Red Raiders played two-consecutive against ranked foes came during a four-game stretch in 1998. Tech faced Colorado (19), Texas A&M (8), Missouri (18) and Texas (18). The last time Texas Tech faced back-to-back top 10 teams was in 1978 against Texas (6) and Texas A&M (7).
