Competed in eight meets in training for the decathlon... he finished 9th in the decathlon at the Big 12 Championships with a PB mark of 6,773 points, securing five PB marks (100m, 400m, 110 hurdles, pole vault and 1500).

Competed in four meets as part of the heptathlon... secured a PB 4,690 points at the Texas Tech Open, registering five PB marks (60m, long jump, high jump, 60m hurdles and 1000m).
