Last weekend at the 44 Farms Invitational hosted by Texas A&M, each Tech athlete opened their outdoor campaign. Temitope, the 2025 NCAA Indoor champion, cleared 1.86m (6-1 ¼) for the victory. The sophomore missed just one time during that clearance before bowing out of the competition attempting 1.91m (6-3 ¼).
Edlund, who hasn't competed since January, won the 400m hurdles with a meet record time of 50.18 – his fastest season opener to date. This pasts summer, Edlund represented his country of Sweden in the 2024 Paris Olympics after coming off a season where he finished fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
For Edlund, the conference honor is the first of his career, while for Temitope it's her second overall – one indoor honor.
