Texas Tech moves men’s tennis match to 4 p.m. start

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics announced Thursday morning its Big 12 men's tennis match versus Utah will move to a 4 p.m. start this afternoon at the McLeod Tennis Center. Fans wishing to attend the match are asked to still avoid the main part of campus and access the tennis complex via Texas Tech Parkway.
The McLeod Tennis Center was not affected by Wednesday night's campus closure that affected electrical power to most of the Texas Tech campus. University officials have deemed the area around the McLeod Tennis Center safe for both competing teams and spectators.
The Red Raiders will also host BYU at 12 p.m. Saturday before returning to non-conference play with a 4 p.m. match Tuesday against Abilene Christian. Both matches are scheduled to remain at the McLeod Tennis Center at this time, weather permitting.
Additional information regarding Texas Tech athletic events, including the men's basketball selection show Sunday at United Supermarkets Arena and spring football practices, will be announced as information is finalized.
