
Krebs clocks in the No. 1 60m hurdles time this year

Krebs moves to No. 2 all-time in the Tech record book with her time of 7.97
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Texas Tech track and field team completed the final day of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic Saturday afternoon at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Naomi Krebs was the star of the women's 60m hurdles as she dropped a winning time of 7.97 en route to a new PB and the fastest time in the nation. The time puts her No. 2 all-time for Tech, just behind Demisha Roswell (7.92). It marked the first time Krebs has dipped under eighth seconds.
The women's triple jump saw the Red Raiders go 1-2-3, led by Tamiah Washington as she leaped a new PB 13.34m (43-9 ¼). Suzan Ogunleye placed second at 13.21m (43-4 ¼) followed by Busola Akinduro in third at 13.11m (43-0 ¼).
In only his second 400m race of the season, newcomer Desean Boyce finished sixth overall with a SB 46.13. Antoine Andrews was a part of two finals Saturday – 60m hurdles and 60m sprint. In the 60m hurdles, he finished first with a time of 7.62 – he did not start the 60m final.
Meanwhile, Shawn Brown won the men's 60m title, equaling the fastest time in the nation at 6.52. The time is a new PB and equals the No. 9 all-time for Tech.
Success Umukoro made some noise in the 60m semifinals gong 7.13, giving her a new PB and tying the No. 4 time in Tech history. She would go on to win the finals at 7.17.

·     Sean Gribble finished 3rd in the pole vault clearing 5.24m (17-2 ¼)
·     The men's 4x400 team of Johnathan Crawford, Josh Bour, George Garcia and Charlie Bartholomew clocked in at 3:05.17 for 3rd overall
·     Trey Wilson finished 5th in the shot put at 18.30m (60-0 ½)
